In 2023, Volt started publishing a non-fiction series for beginning readers, based on the idea that if you’re reading something that you find really interesting, you’ll be able to read before you know it. The books contain clear texts with short sentences and lots of pictures by various Dutch illustrators. Joukje Akveld has written three titles about animals for this series: about crocodiles, sharks and pandas.
